14-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of killing parents and injuring sister

Just days after Christmas, a 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of killing his parents and attempting to kill his 11-year-old sister in an attack at the family’s home near Miramonte, California.The attack occurred the night of Wednesday, Dec. 27, according to authorities at the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. Around 7:40 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 call about an injured person at a home on the 47000 block of Dunlap Road, a rural area in the mountains of Fresno County. The caller was the 14-year-old boy, who claimed that someone had broken into his house and attacked his mother, father and sister before fleeing the scene in a pickup truck. Hayward PD investigating homicide

(KRON) – The Hayward Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Dec. 31. Hayward officers responded to the report of a man lying in the roadway near the intersection of Skywest Drive and Sueirro Street at 12:47 a.m. on Sunday.  Free rides for New Year’s Eve Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive man suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded, however, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time. There is no further information at this time. This is an active investigation.Anyone with information related to the homicide is asked to call Detective Niedenthal at (510)-293-7176.

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso will undergo back surgery in the coming days, the club said Sunday.Barcelona said the surgery is aimed at fixing the “problems in the lumbar region” that have kept the 33-year-old Alonso sidelined in recent weeks. The club said it will give further details after the surgery is conducted. It did not give a timetable for Alonso’s recovery.He has played seven games this season, four as a starter.
