By Heather CameronSouthern Alberta NewspapersLocal Journalism Initiative ReporterRehoboth Christian Ministries is a not-for-profit organization that supports adults with developmental disabilities across Alberta.“Rehoboth collaborates with other disability service agencies in southern Alberta for programming, services, community access and advocacy for those we support,” said Emma Solowan, Public Relations Coordinator for Rehoboth Christian Ministries.Rehoboth, Solowan says, offers a variety of services to those they serve including 24/7 and supported indpendent living residential care, vocational retirement programs, employment preparation, employment services and community access, as well as supportive home, and respite care. Solowan says that the services Rehoboth officers are funded through Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD), a branch of the Alberta government. ST. LOUIS -- The ex-boyfriend of the St. Louis pair who went missing on December 20 is now charged with murder. Trenton Ivy, 31, of St. Louis, admitted to causing the death of his ex-girlfriend. On December 20, 2023, Marquisha Williams was reported missing by her family. A San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy who resigned this month after authorities say they found him high on drugs with a gun inside a car was honored just over two years ago with the Sheriff's Lifesaving Award. On March 5, 2021, then Deputy Jonathan Campos responded to a call of a man not breathing, who family members believed overdosed on Fentanyl. Campos administered CPR for several minutes before the man's pulse and breathing returned. "When the fire department arrived, they administered Narcan and transported him to the hospital. The Orange County Transportation Authority will be offering free bus rides as residents ring in the new year. Passengers who board an OC bus from 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 won’t have to pay bus fare, a news release said. A person experiencing homelessness was arrested on attempted murder charges after attacking another transient on Christmas Day. According to a release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Central Station, the attack occurred just before 6:15 p.m. Monday in a field near the intersection of Mountain View Avenue and Juanita Street in Loma Linda. Deputies were dispatched to a business in the 25700 of Barton Road on reports of a victim, later identified as 57-year-old Anthony Pasillas Aldana, bleeding from the head. Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision near Teazle Canyon RoadLOS ANGELES, CA (December 27, 2023) – One man died Tuesday night, and Arvien Atakhanian was arrested after a hit-and-run pedestrian collision at the 10000 block of Sunland Boulevard.At approximately 10:20 p.m., authorities were called to the incident near Teazle Canyon Road. According to reports, a southbound grey 2023 Tesla Model 3, driven by 28-year-old Atakhanian from Glendale, struck a pedestrian crossing the road just west of Sunland Way. The victim, a male, was transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.Atakhanian was located and arrested by officers. He is currently held without bail, facing suspicion of felony hit-and-run charges, as booked by the LAPD.
